Sydney Design Week EyeSaw 2007

Heavy thinking
versus pretty pictures

Along with selected other studios, End of Work was invited to showcase our work as part of Sydney Design Week’s “EyeSaw” exhibition. The brief: to create a poster communicating “what graphic design means”. We leapt at the chance to create a piece that conveyed our core philosophy – that the value in design lies in the ideas underpinning it. It only seemed fitting to apply our thinking to the media itself. So, rather than produce a standard paper poster, we delivered our message etched into a 300kg slab of concrete. Heavy? Indeed.
